This infection starts after or within two weeks of infection. The fever lasts a minimum of 3 days long and maximum of 5 days long normally. In common cases, the fever begins to disappear on the fourth day.

High fever may result in seizures. An evaluation of a doctor must be a priority in this case for better diagnosis. Often treated with ibuprofen and acetaminophen.


There is not any specific treatment for roseola. Although, doctors may recommend anti-viral tablets for the child with weaker immunity. Only the fever can be treated with medications. The rashes go away after the fever.

Fifth Disease

 This is caused by parvovirus B19. It is a viral disease. The rashes are formed on the arms, cheeks, and legs. In most children, this disease is common. Its second name is ‘slapped cheek disease. It is mild in many children. The virus is spread by infected people’s sneeze or cough droplets in the air.


This disease is not very serious or severe. It goes away on its own. Our immunity can handle it. However, the effects of the disease can be treated such as pain in joints, fever, swelling, etc.
